Today we celebrate Russia Day. If you are in Moscow, there are lots of free activities for everyone here from 12am to 10pm. In the city center main events are at parks and at the stages at Tverskaya and New Arbat streets, in the areas around them. Celebrations devoted to the upcoming World Cup are at the Red Square.
Some examples:
- Hermitage Garden. Here today you would be able to learn about the origins of Russian cities and listen to the cities’ anthems performed by Jazz band.From midday until 4 pm, lecturers will share with the audience interesting historical facts about the birth of Russian cities, their symbols and traditions. There are lots of activities for children today as well.
- Gorky Park. There is a cyber-football arena here and meetings with football players. For example, at 7^30pm a fan meeting with the famous football player Ruslan Nigmatullin followed by his DJ set at 8pm, then performance of Dino MC 47 at 9pm.
- Park Pobedy. All-Russia hospitality fest - "Samovar fest". There are 10 thematical fairs here where you could see traditional Russian crafts, rows of souvenirs, and to try traditional Russian dishes.
- The end of the day will be marked by fireworks at 10pm.
